Friends, where are you?
« on: Sunday, 20 July 2014 - 10:00:09 »
Hello friends,

where are you all?
It`s very sad that nobody write or show new pictures.

Don`t you have any new pictures from your collection, your plants and flowers?
Please show us your pictures and let`s talk about cacti!

Daniel

I think many have gone to Facebook. In some ways it is easier and you can set privacy to decide who sees what but in other ways it is not as good because posts get old and cannot be searched for. Also posts are more about just showing and there is little discussion like we get on forum threads. Sometimes things change but maybe it is rare to have progress....

Yes, I also think so Simon.
But we should work together to make the board interesting, also for new members.
It`s a hard work, but today with facebook we must build a big cacti-community outside of facebook.
I also made this with my board www.kakteenforum.com

So, we also can make this here in our board, when we work together!
The first plant is the latest ;)

I agree with both of you!
Facebook is fast, but also fast to be forgotten. It may be good to show a picture, but discussions are poor.

In a forum like this it is possibile to discuss about interesting subjects with more precision.
Andrea.

Thanks for your messages :)
We think the same, usually social networks are easier to post on, but discussion is very poor.
If the purpose is on how many likes you can get then go for it...if not I invite you all to post photos here to stimulate new topics and knowledge.
This place was intended to be international, that's why we chose english language at the beginning instead of italian for example.
Online translation is understandable if there are people who are not fond on english :)
Btw if you post photos with the tool 'attachments' here and not from link, only the members can see them.
