Absent thorns on some young grafts
« on: Sunday, 12 January 2014 - 23:56:31 »
Three young 'naked' grafts compared to the normal-looking grafts:

Ferofossulocactus Leibnitz F2 (Ferocactus macrodiscus X Stenocactus coptonogonus):

Both grafts on the Selenicereus stock, diameters of the grafts - 12 mm (left) and 15 mm (right), grafted 14 weeks ago.

Aztekium hintonii:

A. hintonii as young grafts are initially far hairier than grown-up plants - at least according to my experience.
Both grafts on the Pereskiopsis stock, diameters - 7/4 mm, grafted 13 weeks ago.

Strombocactus seidelii:

Both grafts on the Pereskiopsis stock, diameters - 8/6 mm, grafted 13 weeks ago.
