Karma
« on: Tuesday, 20 December 2011 - 17:27:54 »
Karma is a feature that shows the popularity of a member.
Members with more than 50 messages can 'applaud' or 'smite' other members, which is how their popularity is calculated.

Interesting to say the least about using "smite" on the forum.
Definition of smite: To afflict; to chasten; to punish.
I see this attitude on other forums and it leads to less than pleasant conversations.  If this happens on this forum then I shall go elsewhere.
Just my thoughts.

We've just copied the definition of 'karma feature' as it is described in the forum.
To make the other members know what this 'Karma' is...
The verbs infacts are in brackets, and if the members do not like it...just write your opinion.
We can remove the feature.

That's OK.  I'll just move on.
Thanks.

The intent of this topic is to allow members to know what the karma feature that there is on your profile means.
I copied the definition from the forum board.
If he majority of members do not like the feature we can remove it.

I have been wondering what the Karma is about but as i came across this posts now i understand what its for. I am only quite new here so i'm still getting used to the features of the site.It would be nice if there is a 'Like" button as well so that the other members could like ideas or posts of other members and the person who posted could also feel appreciated as well.

Hello and welcome here!
In facts the function should be used if you like a post from another member, so if you like a certain post just click on K+ and it's done!
There is a minimum number of message before using this function, that's for avoiding that 'new' members put K+ or K- to other members without a reason. It's comparable to the 'I like' of facebook!
