Thanks you comment, xwa27.
Ruri kabuto is not asterias v nudum.
It is acutually a hybrid, asterias x capricorne v major.
Years ago, they were crossed and the body color came from capricorne v major.

G'morning Emanuele

Ruri kabuto is very popular in Japan becuse of its azure body color.
They have developed several new forms based on ruri kabuto.
Ruri kabuto nishiki (Varigated ruri kabuto, developed long time ago)
Royal super kabuto (ruri kabuto x super kabuto, Mr Iwata developed and named)
Ruri kabuto x miracle kabuto ( Developed by Mr Iwata but not named yet)

I also try to make 3 forms by myself.
I already have seedlings of Royal super kabuto.
I also have seeds of Ruri kabuto nishiki and ruri kabuto x miracle kabuto.

Very nice Ooibo Frank! The second cv. I've never heard of it before, can you tell us more about this?

Royal super kabuto is "ruri kabuto x super kabuto" developed by Mr Iwata who is the president of Japan Kabuto Enthusiast Association.
He started to develop it more than 10 years ago and named "Royal super kabuto" but some people have still called it just "ruri kabuto x super kabuto".
He wanted to make a kabuto with a clear contrast, white flecking over azure body.

Since I can not import any plants and seeds in here, I create the kabuto on the photo by myself.
Seedlings of ruri kabuto x super kabuto are varied from complete ruri to complete super.
You can select good balanced ones.

Thanks for the explanation Frank, for a European who loves these plants a lot of their history is a mystery.
Congratulations for your work!
