Japanese names and meaning
« on: Friday, 25 November 2011 - 00:42:08 »
Hello,

Is there a place to find the meaning of the cultivar names?

Right now, I'm trying to find out the real meaning of "hekiran". I think it means "v. nudum" but I'm not completely sure.

Thanks!!

I have never seen the website shown the meaning of Japanese cultivar names in English.
hekiran is the abbreviation of hekiruri ranpo-gyoku.
hekiruri: nudum
ranpo-gyoku: myriostigma
and so hekiran means myriostigma v nudum.
