Rootstock/scion combinations: suggestions
« on: Saturday, 11 January 2014 - 16:54:03 »
I think everyone knows about this page: http://kadasgarden.com/Cgraftingstocks.html#compatibility. Nevertheless, it touches only a few possible rootstocks. In an old cactus book in Russian (Турдиев, Седых и Эрихман, "Кактусы", Алма-Ата 1974 - Turdijev, Sedyh and Erichman, "Cacti", Almaty 1974) I found an interesting list of supposedly good rootstocks with suggestions for which genus/species they are recommended as the best choice. Nevertheless, no information of growth rates or grafting ease or something similar is given. Maybe someone will find this info useful...  :) Well, here I go:

Genus/species: rootstock recommendation(s)
I'ill keep the old names as they were in that book; quite a lot of them are outdated by now actually - but I think this is not a problem for anyone really interested in cacti...  ;)
