Astrophytum coahuilense f. tricostatum from seeds
« on: Saturday, 23 November 2013 - 20:00:30 »
I've ordered the coah trico seeds three times - and got never even a single three-ribbed plant: what I always have got was several 5-ribbed plants and some the 'Kikko' plants. This time it seems to be so again - i do not believe that any of the following plants will develop three ribs:

Not that I'm not interested in 'Kikko', but for a change, a couple of three-ribbed coahuilenses would be nice indeed!  ;)
Some pictures from my collection:

Wow, that's amazing!
I would be a lot happier to see coah kikko's instead of 3-ribs, but thats just me (:
Do you have any pictures of your winter growing setup? Just being curious...

I recently bought some seeds of this one! I certainly hope to get both, the kikko and the tricostatum forms! haha
If not, I'd be still happy to get some cuadricostatum :)
I'll post pictures when they're germinated and grafted.

If you feel like getting rid of them, let me know  :P

coah 3-ribs are not so easy to obtain, according to our experience is more common to get coah kikko than coah 3 ribs.
here they are one coah 3-ribs and one coah kikko from same sowing.
