A few questions regarding winter watering
« on: Saturday, 01 November 2014 - 21:30:24 »
How do you guys water at winter,if any?
I'm from a hot country, even right now when it's pretty cold in some places, days temperature are pretty comfortable around here and at night temperatures dip to around 15 Celsius.
A month from now in the middle of winter ,night time will drop to a minimum of 5-6 C.
From mid-late october,'till march or so,i don't water AT ALL,so i was wondering if it's a good thing.Maybe i should water them here and there.
What do you guys think?

My climate is somewhat similar to yours.  Night temperature goes to minimum of 7-8 degree but day temperature remains around 20.  This happens for only two months in a year.  Now it's around 30 during day time.  My cacti are still growing.  I keep watering them in 15 days even during their dormancy. Don't know whether that's correct or not. I think I have read somewhere that when the media is fully dry we have to water them even during dormancy.  Experts may please correct if it's a wrong practice.
